The Three Graces
Now we introduce three contributors whose work altogether reminds us of Greek mythology and their personification of charm and beauty in the person of goddesses called Graces, who are often associated with Aphrodite, the goddess of love. In works of art they have been represented as draped and later as nude female figures. In this photo they appear with Aphrodite in a lovely painting by Sandro Botticelli called Primavera, a reference to the season of spring.
We will keep them draped here while allowing them to reveal the many charms of their contributions to The Grapevine in these forms: a treasury of photos (sandy mason ...caps removed at her request), liberal postings on our Facebook page of images relevant to our interests (Katherine Miller), and regular written meditations on the value of running, walking, moving along interesting trails in the natural world (Laurie Ann).
